Kalita Donnellan-Fernandez is an Adelaide-based artist whose work lives between anatomy and instinct.

With a background in physiotherapy and a deep connection to the physical body, her practice is driven by movement, tension, and the raw mechanics of the natural world and form.

Working in stark black and white, she creates pieces that feel carved rather than painted—where figures emerge through abrasion, repetition, and force. Her imagery draws from both human and animal forms, dissolving the boundary between control and wildness.
